• Once you are both getting good with the group activities, it will not be a problem to go for the one-on-one activities. It might get a little awkward at first, but it will be surely easy-going once it has started. It is the easiest way, and we always need to go slow first, and the opportunities of being one-on-one must come naturally, too. Because remarriage is not a simple thing, and there can be complications for sure. So it is better to let it go with the flow and not force it.
• Try to learn more about the kids too. When you are dealing with step child’s interests and other things, it is better to know more about it. Being too hard at the start will not be preferable, and that is why it is better to just go for the natural ways, and it doesn’t seem too much. Children need their time to be okay with the parent, and it depends on their nature too. So it is better to keep a check on all these things.

• Monitor the child but let it be in the way that it is going with the flow. Keep it positive, and don’t impose any new things in the routine at all.
