Schools Fight Hunger is uniting schools across the country who are fighting hunger in one way or another. Your school may already have a program in place or you may be looking for a new service idea. There are tons of ways your school can join the hunger fight!

School gardens and fresh food projects offer a fun, healthy and educational way for students to fight hunger! From deciding what to plant, how often to harvest and understanding the value of fresh foods, gardens engage students in issues related to ecology, food, sustainability and community.

There’s always a need for willing and able volunteers to help out sorting and stocking food at the pantry or handling registration for the local hunger walk. It’s a great way to allow students to become active in the cause and see how real a problem hunger is in every community.
