Schools Fight Hunger is supported by a coalition of leading education, hunger and service learning organizations – all with a shared passion for activating our schools, inspiring our schools’ students and creating change. With an unmatched ability to activate 83,000 PTO and PTA groups at schools nationwide, Schools Fight Hunger, working together with our partners’ support, will be able to bring together America’s schools to fight childhood hunger in our local communities and bring hundreds of millions of pounds of food to the hungry.

Since 1999, School Family Media has served school parents and the cause of parent involvement with innovative properties and services including PTO Today (the leading multi-media hub and resource for school PTO and PTA groups), the School Family Nights program and SchoolFamily.com and by playing an integral role in a variety of school-family related programs like the Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant program.

YOUTH SERVICE AMERICA (YSA) improves communities by increasing the number and the diversity of young people, ages 5-25, serving in substantive roles. Founded in 1986, YSA supports a global culture of engaged youth committed to a lifetime of service, learning leadership, and achievement. The impact of YSA’s work through service and service-learning is measured in student achievement, workplace readiness, and healthy communities.
Our goals are to:
- Educate youth, teachers, community organizations, media, and public officials in the power of youth as problem solvers.
- Engage children and youth as volunteers, as academic achievers, and as community leaders.
