A key early step in a great food drive or volunteer effort is connecting with your local food bank or pantry. How do they prefer to receive donations? Do they have special needs you can help with? What kind of volunteer programs do they have? Do they have additional resources (possibly a guest speaker) for your school?
If you do not know of a pantry or bank in your area, please enter your school ZIP code below to find a Feeding America food bank in your community. If the nearest food bank is close to your school, contact the Food Drive Coordinator at the food bank to schedule your food delivery. If not, and you want to find another feeding site in your area, we recommend you call the food bank directly and ask for a list of the feeding agencies in your area where you can donate your food.
