We’re excited to announce that we’ve linked up with the New York City public school to encourage school service!
As part of Mayor Bloomberg's Service Initiative, all NYC public schools will take on at least one service project during the year. The program, Service in Schools, provides the 1.1 million NYC students with opportunities to make positive changes in their communities. Schools Serve has been tapped as an official provider of service learning for the over 1,600 K-12 schools. Students will get involved in programs ranging from one-time service projects to fully incorporated school-wide service-learning curricula.
We can’t wait to see the impact these NYC schools have on the hunger fight!
