Recently, Nicole Muller, a senior at Western Albemarle High School (and wonderful SFH Student Leader), organized a local school food drive competition in Virginia. In total, 17 schools participated in a two-week long food drive during March. At the end of the competition the elementary, middle and high school that brought in the most pounds per student were awarded a digital camera as a thank you for their amazing work.
With a competition like this everyone is a winner, but the schools receiving the prize cameras are:
- Woodbrook Elementary
- Henley Middle
- Covenant High School
Overall the 17 schools (recognized below) donated 13,105 pounds to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank!
It jut shows the amazing things that can happen when even one student believes in the fight and rallies the community around it!
Thanks Nicole and thanks to all the schools below!
