I'm guessing most of you are now familiar with the Great American Bake Sale - a wonderful hunger-fighting effort from our partners at Share Our Strength.
Well guess what? They've come up with another way for your school or group to easily raise funds to fight childhood hunger. Introducing Clean Out for Kids, a joint project of Share Our Strength and Better Homes and Gardens.
Together, they've come up with a perfect way to make your spring-cleaning more meaningful: by selling your old stuff to fund No Kid Hungry.
We all have closets that are overflowing or junk in the garage - right?
So get your school parents and students together, pack up boxes of unused items, clothes that the kids have outgrown and toys that have lost their luster and host a yard (or school parking lot) sale. You can even hold an eBay auction. Then donate the funds you raise to Share Our Strength and help end childhood hunger!
